Imagine!

Mr. Rogers in circumstances of national heartache or disaster encouraged parents of small children to point out the helpers. Those who walk beside folks who are suffering. During the past two years of pandemic, I have been looking for the helpers, those who live out Micah 6:8, who who seek justice, love kindness, and humble themselves before God. May we all be the helpers. All the time.

Waiting on Spring ; )

While I was searching for this weeks picture to share, I ran across this one, breathed out a sigh, and imagined a warm spring day. Winter is vital for nature to ready itself for a new growing season, a fact that causes me to pause and wonder at God’s creative work. I am looking forward to spring and at the same time praying for the eastern U.S. in the grasp of a winter storm. -Pastor Aanenson, Photo Credit – ChurchArt.com

Coffee and Prayer

In the morning, after I have pried myself out of bed, I head straight to my coffee machine and make a latte. As I hold my hot latte in my hands, I pray a simple prayer for the coming day. Most days it is a simple, “God, thank you for this coffee, and Lord, give me strength for the day.” I pray that each of you begin with a simple joy and prayer.Photo Credit – ChurchArt.com
