Mr. Rogers in circumstances of national heartache or disaster encouraged parents of small children to point out the helpers. Those who walk beside folks who are suffering. During the past two years of pandemic, I have been looking for the helpers, those who live out Micah 6:8, who who seek justice, love kindness, and humble themselves before God. May we all be the helpers. All the time.

While I was searching for this weeks picture to share, I ran across this one, breathed out a sigh, and imagined a warm spring day. Winter is vital for nature to ready itself for a new growing season, a fact that causes me to pause and wonder at God’s creative work. In the morning, after I have pried myself out of bed, I head straight to my coffee machine and make a latte. As I hold my hot latte in my hands, I pray a simple prayer for the coming day.
